Dive into Boston’s signature approach to improvisation, AllForm, with a unique musical twist. In AllForm, we build the airplane as we’re flying it with a structure that reinvents itself every performance. In this fast-paced, ever-evolving format, we reinvent the rules every time we take the stage. Longform and shortform improv collide under one bold principle: Learn everything so you can do anything.
Join us as we craft our festival showcase with a custom-built musical toolbox. We’ll blend your individual skills and instincts to push physicality, structure songs in new ways, and dive deep into ensemble play. The result? A thrilling, experimental, totally improvised musical that bursts with joy and creativity, guided by a key AllForm principle: follow the fun.
Whether you’re already familiar with AllForm or new to the style, this is your chance to elevate your musical improv and challenge your notions of what “longform” can be. Mike and Deana, pioneers of the Musical AllForm revolution for over a decade, guide you through the magic of blending longform, shortform, and music into one epic, unscripted joyride.
