Stage Your Song
Sunday 29th June
10:00am - 4:00pm (with 1hr lunch break at 1:00pm)
This workshop is open to ALL LEVELS of musical improvisers.
The images we present to the audience affect how they interpret our work, while the physical choreography informs everything from a character's emotional perspective, to the action of the scene itself. In this workshop, we will explore how the content of each song can inform its presentation and work with levels and body positioning, distance, stage craft, movement, and alternative performance spaces to build musical numbers that are vibrant, multi-dimensional and expressive. Follow, lead, and unlock tools to communicate with your fellow performers as you step into the picture of your song.
